Background

James Peacock is a British pianist and singer-songwriter. Playing piano from a young age, whilst still in his teens James had performed at Newcastle City Hall and The Belgium R&B Festival supporting Buddy Guy.

James grew up listening to jazz, folk, and prog rock

began performing in his teens in the North East of England, going on to play the main stage of the Belgium R&B Festival supporting Buddy Guy, and 


He began his musical journey playing keyboard at his local church in Whitley Bay. He studied classical piano and jazz at university, 

James has gone on to play at the Royal Albert Hall, and has recorded 

James has a rich musical background of both jazz and folk influence, he was classically trained as a pianist, and went on to study jazz at university. He has been signed twice, has featured on a number of recordings and national tours, and has supported/played alongside Jools Holland, Gabrielle Aplin, Joss Stone, and Eliza Carthy, at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, the 02 Arena London, Manchester Apollo, and the Glasgow SEC. James is currently playing with NE funk band GrooveTrain, and recording with singer/songwriter RJ Thompson.
